These internet friends work in series style--something I've not tried; I learn from them. Thanks for the lessons!
(I missed one artist when I was on a roll--
a metalworker whose series has Stones with soul.)

Hallie- this is wonderful!! I'm grinning ear to ear!! The cartoon drawing and the poem are fantastic! I love it all- the patterned walkway is SO creative!! Everything you do is creative- thank YOU for the lessons.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam. I'm not sure why I began blogging--for a while I was the only blogger in my small town (now there's one other). I had no idea that I would learn so much--retaining is another story. With this, I learned that cartooning is not easy--the first one was in pencil that smeared--your cat's words kept bumping into his head!
ReplyDeletevery clever! (I think maybe you and I aren't the series types...but never say never!) I love your cartoon...!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Hallie, for this honor. I too am grinning ear to ear as I type this.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Any time is a great time for a mask... :-D

This is fabulous, Hallie! You did a great job capturing us and your sense of humor shines through. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteCeleste, I suspect you're right. I always have trouble with making choices. I constantly say, "Ooh--I want to try that; oh, wait--I want to try that."
ReplyDeleteDon, we probably don masks more often than we admit.
Kathy, you're a great teacher.
Hallie, very cool! Love the cartoon. I too am grinning from ear to ear.
ReplyDeleteLearning from me? Wow. Its funny how that works, I learn from all of you out there in BlogLand. I look forward to people's posts. I love seeing and hearing about the art that is being made, reading the commentary, the comments and thoughts.
THanks!
Indigomar, you've made me look at fields & trees with appreciation.
ReplyDeleteMaybe BlogLand is a type of "brain exchange." Put something in--take something out.
This is great Hallie! What a wonderful way to start the new year. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I have enjoyed your journey and your well-written blog. One day, I'll see the piece that's meant for me.
ReplyDeleteI just checked out Stones with Soul- beautiful work! I've noticed Hallie that I tend to follow who you follow and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
ReplyDeleteI follow a lot of different types of blogs--advertising, economics, David Lynch. Somehow, they all seem to lead to art or thinking about art (for me, anyway). I follow most of them quietly.
ReplyDeleteGlad you checked out the metalworking site--she writes beautifully about her soul searching series.
Hi Hallie, Wow! What a surprise and so FESTIVE! Love the cartoons. Your insights are sharp; you must be a clear thinker. I enjoyed checking out the other blog sites. Thank you for the honor!
ReplyDeleteHi Holly,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the mention of my work and sharing it with others. I greatly appreciate it. I've also sent you an email.
Best wishes, Kathleen
